The women's soccer club at UCF played their first CFSL league game last night against Surf, and emerged victorious! The potential that was shown last night was amazing, and for many of us it was our first time playing together! During the first half, Lindsey Topetcher started the game off with a great goal from the middle of the 18 that was followed up by a free kick from Shana Dinoble that floated into the back of the goal. Surf came back with a goal, but the Knights held strong. During the second half, McKenzie Cloak increased the score with a hat trick, three goals in the back of the net.
The amount of passing and movement that took place during this game goes to show the experience of the players on this new team, and there is no doubt that game two will be just as exciting, if not more.
