Knights vs. Roofing

The Knights played Collis Roofing last night in regular season play. The game started off well for the Knights with a goal from Danielle Marino about 10 minutes in. About another ten minutes later Ashely Durie sank in a shot from the outside of the box, and then moments later Tanya Belt had an assist by playing a through ball to Danielle Marino again in front of the goal mouth. Roofing would not be shut out however and got a goal before the close of the half, for a score of 3-1.

The second half was tough, Roofing was able to score off a header from a corner kick, but the Knights answered again with another hard fought goal from Danielle Marino to give her a hat trick. In the last 5 minutes Roofing sent a runner down the line to capitalize, and then in stoppage time they slipped behind the defense again for a final score of a tie 4-4. Although, the W was evaded this was an improvement from the last time the two teams met which resulted in a loss.

The Knights will play Whiskers next week, the only other team to beat them in CFSL. A good match is expected, please come and support!

Knights vs. Surge

The Knights defeated the Surge in a blow out Tuesday, 10-2. They will face Collis Roofing next week as pool play recycles. The last meeting against the Roofing was a loss, so the Knights are looking forward to the rematch.
